Happy holidays again!

Since my last post (which was this time last year), I have given birth to my son, Avery. My sister has gotten married, I have completed another semester at UAA, Ward got hurt and we have moved in with my in-laws. Life has been pretty rough, and we are hoping to see a return to normalcy soon.

Financial troubles hit us hard when Ward hurt his ankle back in April, while playing in a volleyball tournament. He was off work for a month and we had absolutely no income. Family and friends stepped up to help us out, but we weren't able to stay afloat. We are very fortunate that Wards parents have let us move in with them while we rent out our house.

I have gained a bit of weight since having Avery. My doctors have been really pushing me to lose it and it's been rough. They've been running some blood tests to check on my liver function and my kidney function. I had some elevated levels, which indicates liver damage so they want to check again in a few months after I've hopefully lost some of the weight and started taking care of myself again. I'll keep everyone posted on that front.

On the bright side, Avery celebrated his first Christmas yesterday! Both kids had tons of fun opening their gifts and playing with all of their new things.
Christmas is truly amazing when you have children. I love watching them rip through the gift wrapping to find what special toy awaits them.

I went back to work for the first time since April 2012 (just a seasonal position). I worked at Baby gap for Black Friday. It was really nice being able to have a little adult interaction. I feel like I'm losing my mind somedays. It's really hard being home all day with two babies. I love my children, and I am so thankful that I am able to spend so much time with them. That being said, when it gets dark and cold outside life gets really hard.  It's too cold to go anywhere or even go outside for that matter.

For New Year's Eve this year, Ward and I were invited to a friends house for a party/poker tournament. I'm really excited to get out and get dressed up for a night. Hopefully it will be as much fun as I am hyping it up to be :)

That's all I've got for now. Since my BFF, Jenn, told me about the blogger app, I'll be trying to blog much more often. Happy holidays everyone! Try to stay warm!!
